MOTHERS

Real Mothers don't eat quiche;
they don't have time to make it.

Real Mothers know that their kitchen utensils
are probably in the sandbox.

Real Mothers often have sticky floors,
filthy ovens and happy kids.

Real Mothers know that dried play dough
doesn't come out of carpets.

Real Mothers don't want to know what
the vacuum just sucked up.

Real Mothers sometimes ask 'Why me?'
and get their answer when a little
voice says, 'Because I love you best.'

Real Mothers know that a child's growth
is not measured by height or years or grade....
It is marked by the progression of Mommy to Mom to Mother...

***POSITIVE EXPERIENCES IN FOSTERING***

It has been so rewarding to help and support
my babies develop and grow and I feel a great
sense of satisfaction in knowing that I have played a
vital role in a child's life.
I know that without the care and support we
provide our placements wouldn't be where
they are today.
I also feel honoured to be that
person to share those special firsts in
someone else's life.

SUMMER SUMMER SUMMER!!!!!

I would like to bring it to everyone's attention that the GFCA continue throughout the summer, we offer Non Judgemental support and advice from fellow Foster Carers.

Lets share ideas to keep the children Happy over the summer...

How about a picnic in the park? would people like to come along if we agree a place and a date?

Lets socialise and support each other?

Please encourage Foster Carers to login to be kept up dated, Join this BLOG as a follower and you will receive emails to alert you of Blog updates.

The Idea of this Blog is unlimited, we can communicate and share ideas.

Lets strive to unite all Foster Carers New and Old from all Cultural Backgrounds and become a group with a voice able to share our experiences to enable others to succeed and grow.

Thank you All

*** Mothers Day ***

Happy Mothers day to all

Mother's Love
Her love is like
an island in life's ocean,
vast and wide
A peaceful, quiet shelter
From the wind, the rain, the tide.
'Tis bound on the north by Hope,
By Patience on the West,
By tender Counsel on the South
And on the East by Rest.
Above it like a beacon light
Shine Faith, and Truth, and Prayer;
And thro' the changing scenes of life
I find a haven there.
